In this qualitative study, we examine which experiences university graduates with disabilities have after completing their studies and what they retrospectively perceive as supportive or hindering for a successful transition. The results show that the transition is experienced as successful by those graduates who have found a job that matches their qualifications or who have deliberately (and not out of compulsion) decided to pursue a master’s degree. Obstacles during the transition arise from barriers in people’s minds and from a lack of support. By contrast, experienced support, qualifications, and job-relevant experiences are regarded as supportive.
