This development article examines the significance of Peer-Learning for modern academic careers. Traditional career paths aimed at professorships are increasingly less in line with the diverse possibilities of today's academic careers. Peer-Learning promotes reflection on individual goals and sustainable networks through equal exchange in groups. Two case studies show how informal dynamics, flat hierarchies and interdisciplinary perspectives strengthen self-determination and resilience. Peer-Learning complements existing formats and addresses weaknesses such as the overemphasis on individual career models.
