Potential use of smartwatches in audience response systems

Audience response systems allow lecture participants to get involved, so the lecturerer can gain useful information from the audience. Mobile, web-enabled devices can be integrated into a web-based system and then used for voting. As a wearable device, the smartwatch can facilitate lecturer access to the feedback. Lecturers are no longer limited in their mobility, and vibration and visual signals foster a quick-response behaviour. In particular, integrating the smartwatch into a live backchannel system can increase the befenefits of the system enormously.
