Digital sovereignty in AI-supported processing of teaching materials at universities

AI-powered educational material processing opens up new opportunities for universities to translate existing materials, adapt them for various media formats, and make them available as bilingual learning resources. This presentation introduces a platform that combines translation, adaptation, and RAG-based learning assistance. It is based on an online survey regarding university instructors’ willingness to provide materials. The results indicate a general openness, which is, however, contingent on conditions such as rights protection, authorship, control, data protection, and the exclusion of training and commercial reuse. Design requirements that promote acceptance are derived from these findings.
