Socio-economic city tour: A learning space for transformative economic education

The article examines a socio-economic city walk as a learning space for transformative economic education. As part of the “Socioeconomic Education” module at the University of XXX, the format was designed and tested by students within a design-based research project. The city walk combined the design principles of transformative economic education with direct experiences in urban space, illustrated the interconnection of economic structures with societal processes, and created opportunities for irritation, shifts in perspective, and critical reflection.
