From teaching coaching to coaching for academic practice for newly appointed faculty members

The TH Köln Newly Appointed Professors Program has been established for more than a decade, beginning as an initiative to strengthen the teaching skills of newly appointed professors. It has been continuously developed since its inception, reflects the core values of the university, and has driven the development toward a competence-oriented and learner-centered institution. Since 2022, the program has promoted the networking of teaching, research, and transfer, as well as the discussion of transformative science. This holistic approach supports newly appointed professors in settling in and prepares them to empower students to meet future societal challenges.
