Experiencing UAS – Strategic considerations of professorial recruiting at universities of applied sciences

When recruiting professorial staff, universities of applied sciences face certain challenges in approaching the designated target groups. In the eponymous programme, the Bremen University of Applied Sciences allows those interested in a professorship to gather hands-on experiences of the everyday life of a professor in a university of applied sciences while simultaneously dismantling reservations and hesitations through certain “Touchpoints”. As this programme might impact the FH-Personal incentive programme and the involved universities of applied sciences, certain aspects need to be considered with regards to the thereby emboldened professorial career choice.
