Dialogues on the professionalisation and institutionalisation of the promotion of young academics at HAW

The article focuses on the institutionalisation of the promotion of young academics at HAW using a case study. Based on a qualification model and an employee survey, approaches are presented and discussed with the aim of strategically and operationally promoting young academics through targeted personnel development and retention as well as networking. Specific work requirements and qualification needs as well as planned (academic) career paths and the perceived support and professional involvement are identified as factors for motivation to stay and perform.
