Developing a chatbot playground to enhance university lecturers’ skills

The use of artificial intelligence (AI) in higher education is increasing, and lecturers are being encouraged to address the challenges of implementing AI applications in their teaching. In order to provide a space for addressing these novel requirements and experimenting with AI applications, a team comprising members from different fields has designed an online self-learning programme for the development of a chatbot for scientific work. The design process is based on Design Thinking methodology. The programme exemplifies the vision of an experimental environment for teachers.
