This paper analyzes and compares selected digitalisation projects at Austrian universities and discusses their transferability to the German higher education system. By looking at various projects in Austria, innovative approaches and strategies in the field of digital administration and organisation are highlighted. Particular attention is paid to the success factors of these projects, such as networking and cooperation, stakeholder involvement, adaptability to changing educational environments and the effective use of technologies. The key findings include the importance of strategic planning, the need for interdisciplinary and cross-university collaboration and the role of technology as a catalyst for change in education. The Austrian projects and initiatives are compared with current developments in Germany, which offers insights into what similar concepts could be successfully implemented in Germany and how they would look.
