For the business sector, Working Out Loud™ (WOL™) and similar methodologies have been developed to help professionals enhance their networking and self-organisation skills. Given the significance of these competencies, this study examines how WOL™ can be applied or adapted in the higher education context. The study is based on the scientific monitoring of a newly introduced course at a German university. The primary methodological basis consists of guided focus interviews with student participants. The results reveal both significant potentials and important areas for development of the innovative teaching format.
