In response to the increasing diversification of German society, Community Health is dedicated to the health-related needs of social groups in order to promote participation and equal opportunities and to improve care. Teaching at the Department of Community Health at HS Gesundheit in Bochum takes the individual needs and realities of communities into account. This paper presents the three offers of a practical, participative and transdisciplinary teaching and research structure, as well as the interactions between these areas. Finally, the paper discusses experiences with participatory and transdisciplinary approaches in the context of campus community partnerships.
