Universities are challenged to constantly innovate teaching and learning methods in order to adapt effectively to the transformative nature of digitalisation. One major focus is enriching teaching scenarios with new digital technologies. Agile methods can be applied to achieve a sustainable, needs-based development process. However, these methods often collide with the structures and processes prevalent in higher education organisations. As a result, innovative projects in this context struggle to uphold the inherent values and principles of agile methods. This paper provides insight into a successful good-practice implementation (based on agile methods) that develops digital plugins for feedback and group collaboration within our universities’ LMS to be used in interdisciplinary learning scenarios.
